Web 3.0 Helps Taiwan Secure Information Against Cyberattacks
Taiwan is turning to Web 3.0 tech to wade off cyberattacks, possibly from China, following the controversial Pelosi visit to the island. The Ministry of Digital Affairs of the self-governed territory announced the incorporation of Web 3.0 technology into its web portal to protect it against cyberattacks.
The type of Web 3.0 tech implemented is called InterPlanetary File System (IPFS), which will be used for file sharing among government officials. IPFS uses file hashes to recognize content. This enables files stored by several parties to be accessed from anywhere through a simple HTTP.
Incorporating Web 3.0 into the Ministry of Digital Affairs web portal will give it a much-needed makeover. The original site index and files are currently available on IPFS. The website combines Web 2.0 and 3.0 tools to protect itself.

Starheroes Secured a Grant From Microsoft
The Web 3.0 game StarHeroes just secured a grant from tech giant Microsoft. Many see this as another proof that more traditional tech giants are gravitating towards Web 3.0. The grant will allow StarHeroes to work with famous studios such as Microsoft Studios and Ubisoft.
It will also give the game access to Azure PlayFab. This will mark the first time that Microsoft will give a grant to a blockchain-based game.
